Welcome to our intermodal and freight terminals in Sweden. By improving the conditions for intermodal traffic, we aim to help create a better and more sustainable transport sector. Our ambition is to take the lead in the development of efficient and modern intermodal terminals that will help to double intermodal traffic by 2020.
Benefits of intermodal traffic
A freight train is equivalent to 40 trucks, which makes the train an attractive environmental and time-efficient choice. With the right combination of truck and rail transport, cost-effective solutions can also be created.
Open to all
We ensure that the terminals are available on equal terms to all train operators, freight forwarders and transport companies. We contract terminal operators who are responsible for operation of the terminals, and together we increase terminal efficiency and capacity.
Logistics facilities adjacent to the railway
Our efforts to develop storage and logistics facilities alongside the intermodal terminals will provide more efficient freight handling and increase the proportion of sustainable transport. By transferring more freight to rail, we contribute both to increased traffic safety and reduced carbon emissions.
